Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS), was announced on 19th October 2011
If includes features such as facial recognition unlock, network data usage monitoring, camera enhancements, offline email searching and Near Field Communications (NFC).
The Samsung Galaxy Nexus is one of the few smart phones currently available running this operating system.
I decided to find out what the status bar icons looked like and I couldn't find the information. I expected to find them in the user manual for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus but for some reason they didn't bother including any information about status icons. Whay kind of user manual doesn't explain the most commonly used icons on a device?
Anyway while we wait for Google or Samsung to document them here is a graphic of what they actually look like :
They were well documented for Android 2.3 so it is a mystery to me why the information is so hard to find.
