Blu-Ray video discs can store high-definition video in a number of different formats. These allow a maximum resolution of 1920×1080 and up to 59.94 frames per second. The table below shows the allowed resolution and frame rate combinations.
Note that the highest resolution (1920x1080) only allows a maximum frame rate of 29.97. The highest frame rate (59.94) is allowed with a maximum resolution of 1280x720.
